What is TheEventOf… about?

TheEventOf… is an idea that I had one day while I was working in the projection booth at the local movie theater. I wanted to create a blog and was thinking constantly about what I could write about. I thought about a current events blog but, there’s a million of those. Then I thought what about a blog about Events in general and more specifically being caught up in an event.

Why did you move to wordpress?

There are some things that I wanted to bring to this blog that the blogger platform just didn’t offer or didn’t make very easy. With WordPress I will have more freedom to expand my blog beyond just a blog and hopefully attract a more loyal and interested reader base.

Why do you Advertise?

I choose to place ads on my site to help off-set the cost of running the blog. Although the cost is small I hope to earn enough to pay for the hosting and domain name so that I don’t have to reach into my own pocket. If these ads do in-fact make me a profit I will surely be investing in the community of my readers with contests and giveaways.

I would love help running my site specifically design and coding as I am no where educated in that aspect of creating a site.
