…Monday Morning
They come once a week, like clockwork, that dreaded Monday morning. The start of the work week where we head back into our offices and repopulate our cubes. InTheEventOf… a Monday morning Friday afternoon seems like lightyears away. To help ease into the week I tend to try a few things that might help start it off in the right direction. Here are my steps to making Monday’s not so bad:
5 Cool Tricks To Easing Into Monday Morning
- Have something fun scheduled on Monday – If you can find a class to take or a club to attend or a hobby to do Monday’s than you’re going to end up looking forward to your least favorite day of the week!
- Get a good night’s sleep – Don’t stay up late Sunday! In fact try your best to go to sleep a little earlier than normal. If you start your week off well rested than you wont be catching up on your Z’s all week long.
- Try to avoid hitting the snooze button – By just jumping out of the bed you’re actually going to be more energized and less sluggish. Hitting that snooze button can cause your body to want to go back to sleep for a lot longer than the 5-10 minutes your alarm clock will allow.
- Do your best to be optimistic for the week – Each week starts anew on Monday morning therefore make sure you’re starting each week thinking about all the possibilities and not worrying about all the pitfalls. You will be much more pleasant to be around and certainly will have a better chance of enjoying the possibilities.
- Eat A Good Breakfast – Having a good solid, healthy, breakfast not only on Monday morning but every morning will help you be energized for the day. Of course it’s that much more important when you’re getting motivated to go BACK into the office and open up that email inbox and start responding to all your meeting requests for the upcoming week.
